Let them eat cake

Never get between a bear and her young. Or a bear and food. In this case I was sharing a couple cakes with The Bear at Flour and Stone – a tiny shop hidden on Riley st near the city.

If willy wonka gave up making lollies and chocolate to open a bakery, this would be it. Imagine a magic cave filled with hazelnut cakes, apple galette, lemon drizzle cakes, raspberry & custard doughnuts… The coffee isn’t bad either.

Unfortunately, sharing with a bear as not easy – you’re likely to lose a hand. The moral of the story? Foraging bears are dangerous. Order twice as much as you need. At least.
